You might 'technically' be considered 'supported', but by the skin of your teeth. In what follows, several references are made to the “realtime” group. I can´t use a realtime kernel becouse nvidia drivers, but I think just the rt option and memlock in jack will get things work fine for audio. Gook look for me !

There are guides out there how to get jackd working with Ubuntu, but working through them is asking too much from a novice user or a teacher in a classroom who Ubuntu Studio is what I'd recommend for a music-only machine. This is great, when it happens.
