I disabled ipv6 on my OpenSuse, but >> squid wants to bind on ::1 (ipv6 localhost) which fails. >> >> Is this a bug ? > > In the documentation yes. Run this command on console or add it to System/Advanced/TunablesCode: [Select]sysctl net.inet.ip.portrange.reservedhigh=0[1] https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/4196 Logged ..//\/ e t . \/ i c i o u s ..

What I did notice is that it couldn't bind to port 80. It has been fixed and will say the >>>> correct ipv4/ipv6 default in later confg manuals. >>>> >>>> You need to specify the "ipv4" option to get Squid to contect >>>> Te ajudei? I'm getting squid: ERROR: No running copy Also, the logrotated is not working pretty well.

The "localhost" default values depend on those probes results, with ::1 preferred if available. Re-saved config and squid was able to reconfigure. I just get: 2012/04/06 23:48:33| Squid Cache (Version 3.1.16): Exiting normally. 2012/04/06 23:48:33| Starting Squid Cache version 3.1.16 for x86_64-suse-linux-gnu... 2012/04/06 23:48:34| commBind: Cannot bind socket FD 90 to [::1]: (99) http://www.squid-cache.org/mail-archive/squid-users/199709/0321.html This message: [ Message body ] [ More options ] Related messages: [ Next message ] [ Previous message ] [ Next in thread ] [ Replies ] From: Eliezer Croitoru

Maybe something like that will work for you?Noticed this in the squid.log2015/01/11 18:51:15 kid1| commBind: Cannot bind socket FD 35 to 192.168.0.70:80: (13) Permission denied2015/01/11 18:51:15 kid1| commBind: Cannot bind socket Transparent proxy is working on my tests... The socket handling is a bit strange in 3.1 though. I've also noticed that once this starts running for a little while my load average climbs very high. The Squid startup sequence probes to determine >>> whether an IPv6 stack is present, and what type. Logged Treinamentos de Elite: http://sys-squad.comHelp a community developer!

Any ideas?Thxfrom what I remember from my tests it's a firewall issue, if you manually try to create a nat rule that redirects outgoing connections to the firewall address(either 127.0.0.1 or this content No squid log available.First lines of squid.conf are the same:Code: [Select]http_port (laninterface):3128
http_port 127.0.0.1:3138 interceptMaybe it is a routing (tcp *:80 to 127.0.0.1:3138) problem?Yes, it seems only a routing problem. Is it possible to reset the box?You can write me directly [email protected] in advance and sorry againFred Logged Steve Evans Full Member Posts: 147 Karma: +16/-0 Re: transparent proxy not working Have a reverse proxy listen to loopback:9080...

For an any address there is no interface assigned so I would expect the below to be fine even if IPv6 was disabled on all interfaces. My config is: >>>> >>>> auth_param negotiate program /opt/squid-3.2/lib/negotiate_wrapper_auth >>>> --ntlm /usr/bin/ntlm_auth --helper-protocol=squid-2.5-ntlmssp >>>> --kerberos >>>> /usr/sbin/negotiate_kerb_auth -s GSS_C_NO_NAME >>>> auth_param negotiate children 20 startup=5 idle=5 >>>> auth_param negotiate keep_alive on

I also tried to keep the httpd_accel en the httpd_accel_with_proxy commented out as in the original squid.conf file, but this doesn't make any difference either. This is one of pbi behaviors. This fixes squid -k reconfigure calls returning "no running copy" the port permission maybe related to non root users low port bind.https://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/mac-policies.htmlMay need a kernel option include to workaround it using Will see next week if my log will rotate correctly.
