The IDB doesn´t work an no data is imported. It is the path the DP 7 is installed. Do you see the Shadow Copy Optimization Writer now? check my blog The help states it will use VSS to 'free' open files and allow the disk to be mounted for backup.

On F: it shows right there its defined limit of 504774MB. Check ServerManager -> Roles -> File Services -Share and Sorage Management There you probably have 2 non Administrative Shares (ones without $) on the Volume.   Regarding your offset error you I have attached a screen shot. this could also be a VBDA issue.also check if the"Lock files during backup" option is enabled, if yes dissable it.hope this helps.I didn't change any of the settings on the backup

After backup completed also the message "removing snapshot" shows up in DP messages but NOT under vCenter events. http://protector215.rssing.com/chan-15674764/all_p37.html Monday, May 21, 2012 5:21 AM Reply | Quote Moderator 0 Sign in to vote Hi, Even after all writers were "stable" when we started the backup but still backup didnt The manual / help is contradicting itself; it states to use VSS and also states 'Disk image backup fails if a file on the target system is open since Data Protector cannot Backup starts says pending and then never changes to running.
